Zachrias Janesen made the first microscope .Anton Van Leeuwenhoek was the first guy to look at water through a microscope. Robert Hooke lived at the same time as Anton. He looked at a cork through his microscope and found out that cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The cell theory has 3 main ideas. All organisms are made from 1 or more cells, The cell is the basic unit of organization in a organisms and all cells are made from pre existing cells. the microscopes used to study cells were made in the 1940s. Cells are separated into 2 kinds of basic forms prokaryotes and eukaryotic. prokaryotes are in unbound forms like bacteria and eukaryotic are in forms like mammals or plants.
